Legacy: what will you leave behind?

Written and Directed by
Pushkaraj S Shirke
DOP: Haruhico Nishioca
DA: Emir Kahn Bautista
Editor: Rohon Nag
Starring: Ray Martell Moore & John Marcus

Based on a True Incident, this film tells the story of a young, african american boy unwillingly forced into crime by circumstances and his chance encounter with a stranger that will change his life forever.
The film explores the conflict between circumstances and choices as catalyzed by one act of a stranger.

Filmed as a Student Project for New york Film Academy
This has not been made for any commercial purposes.
The film was shot within 2 hours, edited in a day and the music used is stock music. And the shitty sound is owing to a restaurant owner who didn't allow us to switch off the TV for 5 mins. The story, is intact nonetheless.

Special thanks to Tassos Rigopoulos and Piero Basso Aic for their valuable lessons and time.

MOVE

This one is the best of the 3 film series.3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage... all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films = a trip of a lifetime: move, eat, learn.
Rick Mereki : Director, producer, additional camera and editing
Tim White : DOP, producer, primary editing, sound
Andrew Lees : Actor, mover, groover
These films were commissioned by STA Travel Australia: ENJOY!

Jack Daniels: Yee-haw poster Documentary

i'm  a lover of old things. art the way it used to be. i love the difference a hand makes to a piece of art - the way it transcends a simple promotional piece of paper, to a work of art. and im glad jack daniels made this little documentary ad film which captures the art of poster making and printing.
watch it. it takes you back in time!

Pot V/S Crystal Meth

now only if all documentaries were so much fun - people would atleast be educated better!
it brings out the futility of both drugs (marijuana and crystal meth) out by such a fun conversational debate!

Sucker Punch - the opening

SuckerPunch as a film was a great dissapointment. layered with unnecessary levels of imagination. but at the same time it is a showcase of zack snyder's directorial and cinematic genius. the man is a god with visual treatment. what he lacks in story and script, he makes up for in visual appeal.

BUT most importantly, it is the opening of the film that catches my eye. it's a great short film in itself - silent, dialogueless, music and visuals driven tale. WATCH IT and you'll know why i admire zack snyder despite his failure with suckerpunch.

#of course, you can still go on to watch the entire movie if you want a crash course in visual treatment. but please dont expect anything out of the story. its way too childish and pseudo intelligently layered.

TMB Panyee Footbal Club

TMB bank have launched a new brand vision "Make THE Difference" by making a film to inspire people to start thinking differently. With a hope that they will start to Make THE Difference to their own world. It doesn't have to be big, but a little can create positive changes. This film is based on a true story. In 1986 a football team that lived on a little island in the south of Thailand called "Koh Panyee". It's a floating village in the middle of the sea that has not an inch of soil. The kids here loved to watch football but had nowhere to play or practice. But they didn't let that stop them. They challenged the norm and have become a great inspiration for new generations on the island.

Powers of Ten

This classic film takes us on an adventure in magnitudes.

It's quite a trip considering all they've done is zoomed in, and zoomed out (visually)!

Starting at a picnic by the lakeside in Chicago, this famous film transports us to the outer edges of the universe.

Every ten seconds we view the starting point from ten times farther out until our own galaxy is visible only a s a speck of light among many others.

Returning to Earth with breathtaking speed, we move inward- into the hand of the sleeping picnicker- with ten times more magnification every ten seconds.

Our journey ends inside a proton of a carbon atom within a DNA molecule in a white blood cell.

The art of the title sequence

I've always believed that the title sequence itself is a piece of art. its iconic. it grabs the nature of the film and preps you up for the experience. always thought that it dosent get enough credit.
and then, here we go - it finally recieves its due. And alsoa short film to commemorate its awesomeness!
